Transportation of dangerous goods (ADR) with temperature control from China to Belarus

Client task: delivery from China to Belarus of dangerous goods requiring temperature regime.

Decision: as a result of working out all possible ways of delivering this cargo (requiring both temperature control and cargo having a certain hazard class), Kronex company specialists offered the most advantageous both in terms of cost and terms of cargo transportation, methods of delivery of the required cargo from China to the Republic of Belarus.  

The following route has been chosen:

1. Port of Shanghai (China) - port of Novorossiysk (Russian Federation) - transportation by sea.
2. Port of Novorossiysk - Minsk (Republic of Belarus) - transportation of a container by road transport.

What has been done

  • After elaboration and final selection of the transportation route, the most suitable shipping line was found with its own 40-foot refrigerated containers and experience in handling dangerous goods of the required hazard class.
  • The possibility of accepting and reloading cargo at the port of arrival from a sea vessel to a road freight transport (container ship) with the connection of a refrigeration unit (GenSet) was worked out in advance to maintain the temperature regime on the route of the cargo to the place of customs clearance of cargo in Belarus.
  • Negotiations have been held with the shipping line to increase the terms of use of the refrigerated container.
  • The accompanying transit documents were issued at the port of arrival of the cargo (Novorossiysk), fees were paid at the port of destination, control and escort of the cargo was carried out along the way.
